Daphne postcard – grey (A6 size)

This is a non-profit initiative, the amount of 5 EURO required for each card will be entirely donated to The Daphne Caruana Galizia Foundation an independent and non-governmental non-profit organization created by the sons and husband of this amazing woman to Ensure the public interest of full justice for her assassination, support efforts to protect investigative journalists and to promote and support even internationally free speech and media freedom.

The aim is to celebrate one of the braves women of Malta for the International women’s, Daphne Caruana Galizia, that was tragically assassinated in a car bomb attack on 16 October 2017, she was an amazing journalist and a truly inspirational woman:

• inspirational because after her arrest for participating in an anti-government protest against the forced closure of independent schools at the age of 19, she felt the urgency to become a journalist.⁠
⁠• because at the age of 24 tired to read shitty articles on the news decided to make her voice heard with an old typewriter, and facing the fears of being rejected and not caring about the judgment of others, drove to Valletta with her three kids to handly delivers her first writing to the Sunday editor. ⁠
⁠• because she became the first woman columnist and the first to publish in her own name rather than anonymously, ⁠and from there she never stopped writing to carry on the battles in which she believed, ss she said we should hope to be hungry and free rather than well-fed and oppressed! ⁠

The postcard is finely printed in Malta on a slightly textured Tintoretto paper of 250g, signed and numbered in a limited series of 50.
